Canadians can give their opinions on this if they feel they know enough about this subject.
American government has grown rather large, with many, many departments covering about every possible facet imaginable. The question is, has it grown too large? not large enough? Should the government regulate every day decisions (marriage/religious beliefs, etc) or just for the protection of the basic civil rights (free speech, etc)?
What are your opinions on how the government should be used for the betterment of the people? And, are you happy with the current government (please dont turn this into a Bush bashing charade, please) and the steps it is taking?

i couldnt find my vote.. so i voted much too large. and it does need reformation.
the government is sort've poisoning. not just societies, but the entire US. not to mention the canadian areas. they believe what they do it right. but they are actually bringing the deaths of innocent people. i believe they do know the cure for many disease. i actually i DO know they know. but they can get more money by letting innocent lives suffer. they are holding weapons that can easily win us any war, but we are holding every single one of them. i dont believe in one of thier lies and i never will.

Your lack of grammar tortures me. You DO know that it's a rule in this section for proper grammar? Take a gander at the thread, "The correct way to debate." You may have skipped a rule.
But I do agree with what you say.

Eh nothing, I've learned to tolerate it. but you have a mispelling or two, an apostrophe in the wrong place (I think) and nealy no capitolization whatsoever...
But it's all good.

Something wrong with the government eh? Oh yeah theres something wrong with it! Well at least my local government. Back when I was 14, I got in a row with a 20 year old druggie. Few punches thrown. (Hes really puny and I think he was whacked out at the time) And nobody seriously hurt. But after the fight was over he charged at me one last time and I tripped. I slammed my face on a cement curb, makin my tooth go through my lip. Blood everywhere. But dont worry, I had like adrenaline flowing so I didnt feel it till like, an hour later. And guess what my government did about that fight? Nothin. So I'm not a big fan of the "government"

You're off topic, we're not talking about local government, this is federal/global. Eh, not even global. Just federal.

I agree and disagree. I make it a point to look at things from multiple perspectives. Yes the government might have things that, certain agencies know that, could benifit the military or the medical field and yes lives could be spared. (I also know some of those closely held secrets.) The government also does things on a daily basis for the greater good of the entire nation, and there are A LOT of people with different points of view that all want things their way. I for one think about what type of mind set you would really need to have in order to do those types of jobs, make decissions that could send some ones son to war or to a peace keeping post (which is MUCH worse than a combat zone). To me I am pleased with our government. I'm not jumping with glee but it's a decent organization. I would venture to ask you to consider this; no one person is perfect, no corperation is perfectly run, and out of ALL the governments around the world which one or one's do you think could manage the free-est, wealthiest, pickiest country like us and NOT make a few mistakes? Last thought: about 70% of the governments in other countries would kill all of us for saying things like this in public, and ALL governments have coruption, they always will. I normally don't offer up my opinions on subjects like this, I hope some one who reads this finds something useful or meaningful in it, if not and it angers or frustrates you- ask your self......why?
